Going indepndently or with a tour

There are not so many generic packaged tours to Japan. Because Japan trips tends to be more culture and activity focused, generic tours do no suit well.

If you like group travel, or if you want to travel along a theme, some boutique travel agencies offers small tours to Japan consisting of around 10 people. Universities organise study-group type trips to Japan as well, so be sure to check websites of your Alma Mata.

Independent travel is also a recommended way of travelling to Japan. You can book your flights using your regular agent. We list recommended hotels in our hotel section. After reserving your hotel, you might ask a concierge desk to reserve theatres, restaurants and other attractions as well.
