Museum of money by Bank of Japan

The Currency Museum of the Bank of Japan was founded in 1982 in commemoration of the Bank’s centenary and opened in November 1985. The Museum belongs to the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies of the Bank.

Hours: 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (entrance by 4.00 p.m.)

Closed: Mondays, national holidays (except Saturdays and Sundays)

Admission: Free
