Odaiba
An artificial island on Tokyo Bay with many attractions
Odaiba is a popular weekend destination for locals. Attractions include Tokyo Big Sight exhibition centre, Sony’s Cineplex Mediage, amusement parks Pallet Town and Joypolis, and Toyota’s show space Megaweb.
Odaiba is an artificial island on Tokyo Bay. It was created as one of the cannon forts to defend the Bay after the first attempt by Commodore Perry to open Japan up for trade in 1853. Rainbow Bridge was created in 1993, and the following developments lead to the entertainment town as in today.
